Certifications, Certificates, and Credentials
Never Stop Learning
"Never stop learning" is a daily mantra of mine. One of the requirements for the full-time faculty job posting that I applied for back in 2009, was that the applicant earned a certification related to the subject matter listed within the job description. I was applying for a full-time position teaching courses within the Web Programming program so I jumped on the "it's-time-to-learn-again-and-get-certified" band wagon! Another reason that the "never stop learning" manta rings true is that being I teach within the information technology field, things change so rapidly and the need to stay current with what's going on the field, is imperative and crucial not only for myself but also for the students that I teach.
Below you will find information about the certifications, certificates, and credentials that I have earned throughout the years. Most of the certifications and certificates focus on skills and skill sets related to Web Programming since this represents my teaching focus. However, I have added four certifications that are specific to education and online teaching for higher education.
